We're building AI Passport, a personal memory layer that works across AI apps. Every AI product you use today keeps its own memory of you: ChatGPT has one, Claude has one, and every AI-powered app is starting to build one too. None of them talk to each other, you can't see most of what they've stored, and you re-explain yourself to each new tool. AI Passport replaces those scattered profiles with one card you own. Your preferences, history, and goals live in one place, and new information lands in an inbox where you approve or reject it before it's saved. Apps that want to use your context request a pass, which grants them access to only the categories you allow and can be revoked at any time. Receipts show you exactly which app read what, and when. For a user, this means any AI app can know you from the first message. For a business, personalization works in both directions: a storefront can retrieve a customer's taste, sizes, and budget and personalize instantly instead of running an onboarding quiz, and a support organization can keep one memory of each customer across tickets, teams, and agents, so every new case starts with what the company already knows about the person.
Every AI app is trying to learn who you are. We think you should own the answer. Egoist Machines is building AI Passport, the user-owned context and memory layer for consumer AI. The way things work right now, ChatGPT, Claude, health apps, wearables, shopping platforms, travel accounts, and financial tools each hold a different, incomplete model of the same person. Users repeatedly explain themselves while their personal data remains trapped across disconnected platforms. AI Passport gives people one central place to build, control, and carry their preferences, history, goals, identity, and personal context between products. Through Sign in with AI Passport, apps can request only the context they need, for a stated purpose and period, while every permission remains inspectable and revocable. We believe the next era of consumer technology will be hyper-personalised, but it should not require people to surrender control of their data. Consumers should become the system of record for their own context, and products should compete on the experiences they create rather than the private profiles they accumulate. In our launch video, founders Erin Meryl McGurk and Dr David Khachaturov explain why we are building the portable context layer for the internet and what becomes possible when every product can understand its users from the first interaction.
