Pelica is the AI-native operating system for value-based care organizations. We unify claims, EHR, pharmacy, lab, and ADT data into one live record and put an AI copilot next to every team that depends on it: quality/Stars, pharmacy, care management, provider network, and risk adjustment. The copilots don't just surface insights. They do the work, from engaging members for preventative care using multi-channel communications to preparing provider field reps with everything they need before they walk in the door. So teams spend time on relationships, not admin.
Pelica is the AI operating system for value-based care, and HealthCare Partners, one of the Northeast's largest independent medical groups, runs on it. This is their story, and our launch. HealthCare Partners manages about 200,000 lives across roughly 1,000 providers in the five boroughs and Long Island. They put their quality, pharmacy, nursing, and risk teams on one system and went live in two weeks. Pelica brings claims, EHR, pharmacy, lab, and hospital data into one record, then runs AI agents that do the work: capturing risk, closing care gaps, and making member outreach calls in the member's language. A person steps in only when one is genuinely needed. What changed for HealthCare Partners, in their own words: • Weekly admin that took about 8 hours now takes 15 minutes • 120+ hours of manual note-taking saved in a single month • Notes written and filed about 10 seconds after each call • Real lift on adherence and quality, year over year • Live in two weeks from signing "Pelica felt like an extension of our team. You don't just get software, you get partners." - Alex Wiggall, SVP, Quality & Clinical Revenue Integrity, HealthCare Partners Pelica unifies risk adjustment, Stars and quality, pharmacy and Part D, provider network, and care management on one record, plus an AI data analyst you can ask anything in plain English. HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2 Type II, and RADV-defensible. Who's behind Pelica: Pelica is built by Catherine Zhao (CEO) and Lalit Kundu (CTO). Catherine led billion-user products at Google, worked on Gemini in its GenAI org, and researched clinical AI at Stanford School of Medicine. Lalit was a Staff Engineer at YouTube, tech lead for a 45-engineer org, and shipped YouTube TV Sunday Ticket. Backed by Y Combinator. ▶ Read the full HealthCare Partners story: ▶ See Pelica on your own numbers (book a demo): Pelica: YC Spring 2025: Pelica: the AI operating system for value-based care
